Enoshima "Luminous Way"
# projection art for escalator
The Enoshima "Luminous Way" is a revitalization project for the escalator system following the path to the Enoshima Observation Deck.
This project marks the first renovation of Japan's inaugural outdoor escalator system, established in 1959.
The upgrade features two escalators and includes the installation of seamless, sea-themed projection imagery along their route.
This path, ascending the mountainside to the observation deck, is aptly named the "Luminous Way," transforming the escalator journey into a brilliantly illuminated path adorned with spatial images.
The imagery showcases prismatic, blue-colored jellyfish sourced directly from the ocean and captured in high-definition 8K resolution.
A process that extracts their living forms and abstracts them in a manner reminiscent of computer graphics vividly portrays the reality, texture, and movement of nature and marine life in exquisite detail.
