Lights in Snowland
# Light Installation
These installations were exhibited at the Echigo-Tsumari Satoyama Museum of Contemporary Art KINARE as part of the Lights in Snowland exhibition.
"Lights in Snowland" showcased two captivating installations inspired by the winter landscapes of Echigo province.
In "Snow Dance," upon entering the gallery, viewers are greeted by a mesmerizing flurry of lights, capturing the endless falling of snow in the Niigata winterscape.
"Light Book – Hokuetsu Seppu –" brings to life the vivid descriptions of daily life in the snowy province of Echigo-Uonuma found in the late Edo-period book, "Hokuetsu Seppu."
By turning over the pages, viewers release pictures and characters portraying life in bygone times, which arise and float enchantingly in space.
