Life and Manufacturing in Snow Country

# Museum exhibition

This permanent exhibition at the Fukushima Museum showcases the traditional commerce, industry, and lifestyles of the Aizu region in Fukushima Prefecture.
It features the cultural and scenic beauty of Oku-aizu alongside the region's craftsmanship.

The exhibition presents a mix of actual artifacts and multimedia displays. Items on display include Akabeko (red cow) dolls, ramie-made farming tools, and Sai no Kami relics from the local fire festival.
These are complemented by projection images and sounds that enrich the visitor experience.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is the "Scene Program," an immersive 10-minute multimedia presentation that vividly portrays the four seasons and snowy landscapes of Oku-aizu.
It includes a virtual recreation of the fire festival using projection mapping and features a curator’s commentary, which provides insights into the items displayed.

Scene Program (Approx. 10 minutes):

1. Photographic montage of the four seasons (Photography by Yuki Iwanami)
2. Snowy landscapes of Oku-aizu (Photography by Takahiro Matsuo)
